Evidence suggests that the first craft brewery in the US was in NY in the 1600s. Today, there are nearly 450 craft breweries making NY 3rd in the country.
Retailers, suppliers, event producers, vendors and other supporting businesses play a critical role in the growth of the craft beer industry.
Non-voting Allied Members have the opportunity to participate in NYSBA meetings and conferences which are the best way to connect with brewery decision makers (owners and operators). All memberships run on a calendar basis. The annual fee is the same regardless of when during the year you join.
The NYSBA does not give out a brewery mailing list as a member benefit. Exhibiting at the festivals is reserved for consumer-facing brands since they are B2C events. The annual conference, regional meetings and brewers meetings are opportunities for Allied members to connect to breweries.
