In early 2016, the NYSBA began test piloting for the Draft Quality Program. This endeavor, which is the first of its kind in the country lead by a state brewers guild, helps ensure that beer quality integrity is maintained throughout the distribution phase in the hands of retail establishments. A Certified Establishment adheres to a strict set of guidelines so that the beer consumers receive is just as the brewer intended.
Due to its popularity the program temporarily went on hiatus until we were able to reorganize to meet the demand. Thanks to our partnership with the New York State Beer Wholesalers Association we are bringing the program back in Q4 of 2019.
To become a certified line cleaner you will be required to pass a written and hands on test that will be conducted at tbd locations throughout the state. Once you are a certified line cleaner you will then be eligible to certify retail establishments that clean lines every 2 weeks per the BA’s Draught Quality standards.
