#thinkNYdrinkNY Virtual Happy Hour with a Brewer

Social distancing does not mean social disengagement. It is more important now than ever before to stay connected with our craft beer community and support each other through positivity.

The NYSBA started “#thinkNYdrinkNY Virtual Happy Hour with a Brewer” to keep spirits high, keep NYS craft beer top of mind, help breweries maintain relationships with consumers, and of course…have a little FUN during these surreal times.

Each night at 6:30pm a brewery Facebook page will host a FB live happy hour where consumers can have a virtual beer with the brewer, and interact through live streamed comments. Each happy hour will feature a different topic or virtual game of the brewer’s choice. For example…Q&A, charades, hangman, trivia, etc.

The NYSBA will promote the happy hours via www.thinkNYdrinkNY.com, the NYS Craft Beer App, and all NY Craft Beer social media accounts.

We look forward to things getting back to business as usual, but in the meantime, we need to get creative in adapting to the new norm.

We are so excited about this, and can’t wait to join you for a virtual beer!

• Jen will e-mail you information to paste in description of the post, feel free to add your own two-cents as well.
• Be sure to broadcast via FB live from your Brewery’s Facebook Account

  o brewery that you work at
  o what you are drinking
  o fun fact about yourself
  o what the topic of the happy hour is

• CONCLUDING THE HAPPY HOUR
  o Tune in for tomorrow’s happy hour (list name of brewery & topic)
  o Full happy hour schedule available at www.thinkNYdrinkNY.com Please announciate letters N and Y, instead of “New York” to eliminate confusion.

GUIDELINES

• No profanity (at least try)
• Messaging is positive and does not reflect poorly on the enjoyment of beer.
• No messaging that is negative or critical of another industry member.
• No messaging encouraging irresponsible drinking.
• No messaging that could be perceived as disrespectful to women, minority groups, or any human being for that matter.
