Meghan is a marketing & partnership specialist with a passion for craft beer. She has served the industry in a variety of roles, most notably as the Director of Partnerships for the NYSBA since 2015 (with a brief hiatus in 2022). Using the newly launched Think New York, Drink New York mark is important for unifying the New York craft beer industry. It also makes it easy for consumers to support local breweries which has become increasingly important in order to compete nationally.

Just as the BAs Independent craft beer seal helps craft brewers compete against big breweries, using the Think NY, Drink NY mark helps New York breweries attract the attention of craft beer enthusiasts.

Incorporating the mark into your packaging including can designs and bottle labels, helps your brand stand out on crowded shelves where beer is sold. Many consumers feel strongly about supporting local breweries and look to see where the beer is produced.

The mark can also be beneficial when incorporated on menus, glassware, table tents, signs, social media and merchandise. As a member, your brewery has licensing rights to use the mark, hash tag and tag line. The more the mark is used, the stronger and more meaningful it becomes.

The Think NY, Drink NY campaign is now supported by a separate consumer-facing website where enthusiasts can participate in the industry by purchasing festival tickets, shopping merchandise, downloading the app and discovering the stories behind NY craft beer.
